The silver BOPP self-adhesive label is made with a biaxially oriented polypropylene film as the base material. It achieves a metallic texture through coating silver ink or vacuum aluminum deposition technology. The core characteristics focus on"high cost-performance visual upgrade + practicality in normal temperature scenarios". It also has basic advantages: Firstly, in terms of visual effect, it presents a uniform silver metallic luster. Although the fineness and weather resistance of this luster are not as good as that of silver PET, the cost is only 60%-80% of it, which can quickly enhance the sophistication of the label with a mid-range budget. Moreover, the silver layer has strong adhesion and is unlikely to fall off or lose its luster even under minor daily friction. Secondly, its physical properties are suitable for normal temperature environments, featuring mild waterproof and oil resistance and tensile strength. The material has moderate stiffness and is lightweight. It can be quickly processed into circular or irregular complex shapes using a die-cutting machine, suitable for batch label production. However, its shortcomings are significant - poor resistance to high and low temperatures (it will deform and wrinkle above 60℃ and crack and peel below 0℃), poor scratch resistance, and long-term contact with grease or frequent friction will cause the silver layer to wear and the luster to fade; thirdly, it has strong printing compatibility, compatible with mainstream processes such as flexographic printing, digital printing, and offset printing. Dark text (such as black and red) has high contrast and good clarity on the silver base, and can also be overlaid with local UV, hot stamping, etc. to enhance the design sense. However, light text is prone to being covered by the silver base, resulting in slightly lower visual recognition.
