Environmental performance:
Kraft paper is made from natural wood pulp and is not bleached or only slightly bleached, recyclable and degradable (some products can reach food-grade contact standards), in line with the current "sustainable packaging" trend, especially favored by brands that emphasize environmental protection.
2. Physical properties: High strength but with significant limitations
Toughness and puncture resistance:
The kraft paper fibers are long and closely interwoven, with a much higher tear resistance than coated papers such as copperplate paper and extra smooth paper, and good puncture resistance. It is not easily damaged by friction or collision in daily use, suitable for industrial part identification, logistics packaging, etc., which require a certain degree of durability.
Water resistance and moisture resistance are poor:
Kraft paper has no waterproof coating, and the fibers themselves have hygroscopicity. When exposed to water, it will quickly soften, expand, and even delaminate, and the label may fall off from the substrate; it is also prone to mold in humid environments, so it is only suitable for dry environments and is its main drawback. If water resistance needs to be improved, wax coating or matte film coating can be applied, but this will weaken the natural texture and increase costs.
Tensile strength and adaptability:
The thickness is usually 80-200 μm, with good tensile strength, easy to operate by manual or mechanical sticking; but the flexibility is generally poor, not suitable for surfaces with large curvatures (such as circular bottle bodies), otherwise it is prone to curling.
Temperature resistance is moderate:
It can be used stably at normal temperatures (-10℃ to 50℃), and high temperatures (above 60℃) may cause slight shrinkage of the paper and softening of the adhesive layer; low temperatures are not prone to brittleness, but in humid and low-temperature environments, stability will be affected.

Printing compatibility is limited:
The surface is rough and highly absorbent, not suitable for full-color, high-precision printing (easily causing color unevenness and blurred details), more suitable for single-color printing (such as black, brown ink), hot stamping / silver (highlighting texture), or handwritten labels; for digital printing, ink suitable for rough paper should be selected to avoid ink loss.
Simple post-processing:
It can undergo basic processing such as die-cutting, punching, and creasing, but is not suitable for complex coating or film treatment (which will damage the natural texture), with low processing costs.
